  My father flew a single engine airplane out of this tiny historic airport in College Park, Maryland for several years, so I developed no fear of flying.
  
  It was fun to fly around the Washington, D.C. area and then land on a grass runway at America's oldest continuously operated airport.
  
  There are no jets or paved runways here, and the facilities are mainly for small planes. There is an adjacent College Park Airport Museum.
